All soft toys have serious pasts,

Teddies, dolphins, hedgehogs and all the rest,

Snuggling up and having cuddles they thrive on best,

As children cared for and loved as their best friends,

Sweethearts swap and have secrets talking to them,

Some are mascots for the cubs,

A Lost PalSome consolation to lonely women,

Retired teddies end in dusty museums,

Smuggling ends in trial and prison,

So treat all inanimate with care; remember,

One cuddle a day is food and drink,

Attic cupboards banishment,

If the cycle is too hot or rough,

Washing softies can be tough,
