~ Red Cardigan ~

 

A scarlet red cardigan,

I always longed to see,

You wore it seldom,

As and when it suited you,

Very light and dazzling,

And bright like you,

Warm and with woolly weave,

And wooden brown buttons,

With shapely animal patterns,

Giraffe I recall was first,

The others I’d have to ask,

The biggest button of course was you,

Fondly I remember the times,

Dressed in scarlet softly speaking with you.
