~ Three Books ~

 

There are three books in the set,

One red, one blue and one of neutral grey,

The first the red, the original held as hers in trust,

Only to be given by hand, but never to be sent,

The second the blue, the soul copy of the red,

His by right and kept by him always it is said,

The third the grey, is for our mutual friend,

Always to be kept, and may be lent if need,

If you wish to lay claim the red, read this and heed,

Bring a leaf of your own production,

And share a secret special snapshot glimpse,

Red or blue will not be given, for an unworthy verse,

Freely and received as thought given,

And in exchanging reds, know what is truly written.
